Birthday Cake - bakerdays review

April turned 3 this week! She really understands what birthdays are now so it's important we make her day extra special. We have a party planned for the weekend but it's not a birthday without a special family celebration on the day. We had balloons and banners, presents and cards. We had April’s favourite potato animals and chicken nuggets for dinner. And of course, we had cake!

We were kindly sent a bakerdays letterbox cake to try. I got to choose the design and personalise it, I went for a Pink Dinosaur Number cake to coordinate with her card.
The cake arrived in the post and fit through the letterbox. What a great bit of post to open! It came inside a nice tin to keep it safe and smelt amazing when I opened it. It arrived in absolutely perfect condition, I was a bit concerned it might get damaged in the post but it’s packaged cleverly to stop this.
April was thrilled with her cake having her name and age on it and especially the Stegosaurus! We sang happy birthday and she blew out all the candles on approximately her 15th attempt.

Then my favourite part of birthdays – eating cake... We went for chocolate cake and the 5 inch letterbox cake, which was the perfect size for just the family. The cake was delicious and we all enjoyed it, including little Enid!
We loved having this personalised cake arrive by post, April felt so special, and so she should on her special day! A delicious treat. Thank you bakerdays.
